Day 2: Chefchouen to Fez via Volubilis and Meknes

Volubilis is nestled at the foot of the majestic Jebel Zerhoun, and its history dates back to the prehistoric Meolithic period. After a delightful breakfast, our day will be filled with exploration as we embark on a captivating journey through "the oldest living Medina in the world," accompanied by an experienced local tour guide. Our first stop will be the bustling "souks" (markets) of the Medina, where we will immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere and rich cultural tapestry.

As we continue our tour, we will visit some of the most iconic landmarks in Fes. Our itinerary includes a stop at the majestic gateway of the Royal Palace, followed by a visit to the esteemed 9th-century Karouine Mosque and University, an architectural marvel steeped in history and learning.

A moment of reverence awaits us as we pay homage to the tomb of the city's founder, the esteemed "Moulay Idriss II," a revered figure in Moroccan history.

For a taste of authentic Moroccan cuisine, we will indulge in a delectable lunch at one of the traditional restaurants nestled within the charming old Medina.

After lunch, our journey continues to discover more hidden gems of Fes. We will visit the splendid Nejjarine Fountain, a stunning showcase of Moroccan craftsmanship, followed by a stroll through the old Harem Garden and the captivating Batha Museum, where the region's rich cultural heritage is preserved.
