Marrakech - Mhamid

You will be picked up from your accommodation and leave the busy city behind and head east toward the desert.  Start our Marrakech to M'hamid Desert 2 days tour by driving through the scenic High Atlas mountains over Tizi n Tichka Pass (2260 m) and its breathtaking sceneries. Pass by amazing Berber villages and sceneries on the way with mountain peaks, valleys and twisting roads. We will continue our journey crossing another pass, Tizi N Tnifift of The Anti Atlas to Agdez. Descending road, you will be amazed at the view of the vast Oasis of the Draa Valley with its thousands of date palms, producing an amazing 44 varieties. We will pass Zagora town and continue to visit the Tamegroute (a village whose name in Berber means the last before the Desert, because of its location at the edge of the Sahara) Tamegroute is famous for its green pottery, an impressive Koranic library and a religious school. In the afternoon, we will drive further south east until we reach Ouled Driss, where you will find camels are waiting for you, take a camel of about 1h30min to the highest dune to enjoy an unforgettable sunset. Dinner and overnight in nomad tents at a Berber camp in Erg Lihoudi sand dunes.

    Mhamid - Marrakech

    Awake early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a typical breakfast in the bivouac. Drive with your 4WD vehicle through the Draa valley towards Agdz, discovering the hidden treasures of the Southern region. To arrive in Ouarzazate where you will have the option to visit the Film Studios and Taourirt Kasbahs. Discover how the area has been featured in movies, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Black Hawk Down. On arrival in Ait Ben Haddou and after have lunch, we will visit with a local guide Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. When the kasbah visit is done, we will cross the High Atlas mountains back to Marrakech. Drop off at your accommodation around 6 p.m.
