In-Depth Coastal Morocco Tour

Your private driver will meet you and greet you at the Mohamed V Airport in Casablanca and get ready to explore the commercial capital of Morocco.  Settle in and drive to the monumental Hassan II Mosque, sits on an outcrop jutting into the Atlantic and offers breathtaking views. Take a leisurely stroll along the Boulevard de la Corniche, the beach promenade that follows the Atlantic coast.. Afterwards we will head along the coastline to the gorgeous medina of El Jadida. The Portuguese built a port here, called Mazagan in the list of UNESCO World Heritage, to protect their ships following the African coast. Visit the citadel and see the underground cistern. Overnight in Mazagane.

Take the time to stroll through the narrow streets of the small Portuguese town and explore its ramparts. Do not miss the Portuguese cistern, the underground water supply; built during the construction of the Portuguese citadel in the early sixteenth century. Afterwards depart to Safi, under the name Safim (Zaffim or Asfi), is one of the oldest cities in Morocco, Under the Almohads it functioned as an important port to the capital Marrakesh. The city was occupied by the Portuguese Empire from 1488 to 1541, was the center of Morocco’s weaving industry, and became a fortaleza of the Portuguese Crown ; and other small villages along the atlantic ocean. Arrive in Essaouira in the late afternoon, check in to your Hotel and enjoy an orientation walk followed by free time to explore this coastal city. The rest of the evening is yours to explore or unwind.

Essaouira is a quite interesting and pleasant town to spend a day in. Stroll down the beautifully decorated alleys and traditional markets of the old Medina and discover the wood workshops, jewelry stores, art galleries, and so on. Later, visit the harbor and do not miss a walk along the beach. Afterwards we will depart to the red city of Marrakech. On the way to Marrakech we will visit one of the original Argan oil cooperative and we may see the goats on the trees as well trying to pick the Argan nots.

You will be picked up from your hotel at 09am, meet your guide and start your Guided city tour of Marrakech, visit Saadian Tombs, The Bahia Palace, Medrassa Ben Youssef, see the Koutoubia Mosque from outside  Souks and Jamaa el Fna Square.

Depending on the time of your departure flight, you may be able to do some last-minute sightseeing ( Majorelle Garden, Anima Garden...), get some souvenirs before your leave to Casablanca airport.
