Majestic Morocco Tour

You will be picked up at your Hotel or Airport in Casablanca, take a short visit from the outside to the splendid Hassan II Mosque: a breathtaking landmark of Casablanca with the tallest minaret at 210m.  The exterior and surrounding area are impressive, what makes this mosque even more unique is it is one of the few mosques in the country where non-Muslims are permitted to enter. Later on depart Casablanca  along the coast line to Rabat the political capital of Morocco. Visit to the Oudaya Kasbah, Chella Necropolis and Hassan Tower. Drive to your Riad for the overnight in Rabat.

After breakfast we will leave the coastal capital city of Rabat  where the treasures of the past blend with the most modern and environmentally friendly achievements behind us we will travel north to Chefchaouen, enjoying the scenic drive as the flat plains and green hills in spring transform into the mountainous landscape of the Rif mountains. You'll pass through many small towns along the way. In the late afternoon we will arrive to Chefchaouen nestled in the heart of the Rif Mountains. check into your hotel and free evening to stroll around the Plaza Uta el-Hammam in the heart of the enchanting old medina, enjoy some local food and watch a beautiful sun set.

Free morning in Chefchouen, wander the steep, cobbled streets and enjoy the picturesque blue-hued buildings. Relax in Place Outa el Hammam with a mint tea, before browsing colorful wares in the many shops and visit the nearby kasbah and explore a 15th-century fortress. Leaving the blue Pearl behind and make your way towards Fes. Arrive in Fes late in the afternoon, check in into you Riad and overnight in Fes.

Follow a local guide through the Fès medina, one of the world’s largest medinas with more than 9000 winding streets lying within 365 hectares. See buildings in the medina that date back to the 9th century; there are 350 mosques in the medina that are still in use today.  Start in Fes el Bali at the Bab Boujeloud gate and enter the main thoroughfare of Talâa Kebira. Notice the Spanish and Tunisian influenced architecture. Visit the Chouara Tannery and marvel at the many dye-filled stone pots and the men at work still using centuries-old techniques. Next, admire the intricate zellij tilework of the 14th-century Al Attarine Madrasa before heading over to the Mellah (old Jewish quarter and cemetery) in Fes el Jdid.

At 8:00 a.m your driver will pick you up and travel south toward Merzouga Sahara Desertt Ifrane, where the houses have sloping roofs, remarkable and unusual in Morocco, also know as "little Swizerland".  A 15min stop to stretch your legs, drink a cup of coffee. Next, continue south cross the majestic Middle Atlas and stop for a while to observe the Barbary apes in the Aok and the cedar forest. Continue to the Sahara Desert over the Tizi n'Talghamt pass ( 1907 ) and into the Ziz Valley, known for its hidden oases and palm tree clusters. Along the road, you will see many fortified houses known as ksars—built to protect precious wares, including gold, salt, and spices, to Erfoud and into the sahara desert.

Wake up for Sunrise lovely pictures, and Breakfast in open air, you will have breakfast in the camp, pack and go back either on camels or by 4x4 leaving the dunes behind. Back on the asphalt roads, continue west to pass through a dramatic gate into Rissani. A market town, Rissani holds a livestock auction and is home to a "donkey parking lot", a site worth experiencing. Make your way to the Oasis town of Tinerhir before reaching the 984 feet (300 m) deep Todra Gorge. You will have time to explore the gorge with a local guide and relax in the cool water of the shallow Todra River for lunch. Leave Tinghir behind and drive to Dades Valley. Upon arrival to Boumalne Dades, we will deviate into a secondary road heading up to Dades gorges. The area is known for the stunning rock formation and the kasbahs along the gorge. It's one of the most scenic drives in the world,

After breakfast, we will take a short walk in the Gorges of Dades before we continue following the valley of One Thousand Kasbahs', here you will find endless oases and palmeries scattered with an abundance of historic kasbahs, once used as refuges and places of defence when the cities were under attack. Arrive to Kallaat Mgouna " La vallee des Roses" , known for its Festival of Roses. Next, continue west to Ouarzazate, pass Oasis town of Skoura where we will stop to visit Amredile Kasbah in the middle of Skoura Palm groves. Upon Arrival to Ouarzazate a gateway to the Sahara Desert made popular by the film industry. Join a studio tour and discover how the nearby desert landscapes have been featured in many films, have lunch in one of the local restaurants. Afterwards we will drive to Aït Benhaddou. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Aït Benhaddou is believed to date from the 11th century during a time when it held an important position along the trans-Saharan trade route.

After breakfast, we travel to nearby Telouet through the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. Drive along the beautiful and awe-inspiring Ounila Valley, full of bends in the roads and surprises at the hues of the rock and soil, Berber villages and gardens, as well as smaller Kasbahs. Reach Telouet Kasbah where you will be introduced to your Local guide and learn about the history of the lords of the Atlas " Ethami El Glaoui". Next, we proceed our approach to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’tichka pass with an altitude of 2260m, with far-reaching views across the mountains, to the traditional High Atlas Berber villages.

Meet your guide at 09am in your Riad/Hotel and start your Guided city tour of Marrakech, visit The Bahia Palace, Medrassa Ben Youssef, Dar EL Bacha, see the Koutoubia Mosque from outside  Souks and Jamaa el Fna Square. The order of the visits depends on the location of your pick up but you will get a lot of flexibility in terms of what you can see and pace,  plus we have the option of improvising and changing course along the way while focusing on what you find most interesting

Depending on the time of your departure flight, you may be able to do some last-minute sightseeing( Majorelle Garden, Anima Garden...), get some souvenirs before your leave to the airport. Safe travels!
